The Story Of Sharma The Proud

Sometime in the distant past there carried on a man called Sharma close to the town of Patali puthra. Sharma was an exceptionally religious man and needed to turn into a paragon of piety. He had a wife and three kids. He chose to abandon them in the town and do Tapas. This made Sharma surmise that he was an example of piety and had otherworldly powers. So he left the backwoods and came to Patali puthra.

He dressed himself in ochre materials and conveyed a staff with him. Since he came to be eager, he stood after an enormous house and yelled, "Bhiksham Dehi" importance, "Give me charity". The woman of the house, who was occupied, let him know, that she was taking care of her youngster. When her occupation is over, she might give him aid. This made Sharma extremely irate. So when the woman turned out, he gazed at her. She told Sharma, "Do you consider, I will be blazed like that flying creature of the woods?" Sharma was frightfully shocked that she realized that a fledgling was smoldered by his gaze. She further let him know, "Your resentment and gaze won't do anything to me. Sharma then headed off to the house of Shankar the woodcutter. He arrived at the house of the woodcutter, promptly in the morning. He yelled, "Bhiksham Dehi". I supposed sages should mull over him." Shankar answered, "A man turns into a wise by doing the callings designated to him genuinely and possibly by doing Tapas. The calling of the woman whom, you met yesterday was to care for her infant. My obligation is to care for my folks. We both are sages in spite of the fact that we don't do any Tapas. Your obligation is to care for your wife and youngsters."

Sharma acknowledged what Shankar was advising was right and headed off to his home. He took care of his wife and youngsters sincerely and became well known as a sage.
