When there was a village that Guru Nanak headed off to visit. In that village were two companions, one of them was a genuine profound man and the different was a normal man. The genuine companion said, "Have you caught the news!! Guru Nanak is staying here!! He is a correct man of God. I won't consume or drink until I meet the Guru!" He was doubtlessly set to visit the Guru. The normal companion wasn't as dead set, "Yes, um.... I suppose I'll go..."
The normal companion told his wife, "Today I am set to visit Guru Nanak with my companion." His wife gave him some cash, "Please give this to the Guru. We don't have much however we Need to give to the Guru. Our youngsters even put in the minimal expenditure they had." The normal man told his wife, "Don't stress, the Guru will unquestionably get this advertising."
Each day the two companions might walk home from work together. After work they were both set to visit the Guru. On the way there was a byway. As they stood and considered which approach, a lady began to influence them, "Don't go that way, come along these lines with me. We can go and bet your cash, it will be fun! C'mon you can purchase me some liquor." The true companion was dead set, "I don't ponder you yet I'm set to see the Guru!" The normal companion wasn't certain. The normal companion ran with the lady to waste all his wife and kids' cash on cigarettes and liquor and betting. He got tanked and he smoked and he played around with individuals who waste their lives doing nothing great. At the time he got back, he deceived his wife. She asked him, "What was it jump at the chance to be in the vicinity of the expert?" He said, "Uuuuhhh, wow, wow no doubt the Guru... no doubt, ya know it was really.... joyful and stuff, better believe it." She asked her spouse, "Did he get our offering?" Yet he disregarded, "What offering.... goodness the cash! Right.... ummm, definitely beyond any doubt he accepted it. He favored our family and numerous types of great stuff..."
In the interim the true companion had invested his time with the Guru and the gave virtuous individuals. He asked the Guru, "Guru ji I am an offering onto you! If you don't mind appropriate my offering and utilize it to assist the unfortunate. I am ever at your administration incredible Guru. Kindly gave me a chance to be at your feet."
Each day the two companions might walk home together and afterward they might part ways. One might head off towards the Guru to listen to the Guru's statements, to sing, give philanthropy and be with the sadhsangat. The other companion might run with that lady. He misled his wife and youngsters and he squandered their advertising. He used their cash betting, drinking and smoking with that lady. He invested his time with awful, level individuals who waste their lives.
This happened each day for a few days.
At last, the normal companion said, "You dependably invest your time in the Guru's court doing exceptional deeds. I mislead my wife and kids and I squander all my time not doing anything exceptional. Anyway none, of these of our lives have updated. You're still the same you and I'm still the same me. So what does it make a difference assuming that we do exceptional or awful, our lives are in any case anyways." The earnest companion said, "Gave us a chance to ask The Sky this inquiry! I'm certain we will get the right reply. Tomorrow, after I visit with the Guru, and after you do whatever you do, gave us a chance to meet over here. We will meet under this tree and the response ought come to us!" They concurred.
The following day the true companion headed off to sit in the vicinity of the Guru. He listened to and sang Gurbani. The other companion ran with the lady again and squandered his time. The normal companion returned to begin with, the true companion had not arrived yet. So he held up briefly and still his companion didn't appear. He kicked exhausted and off attracting lines the earth with a stick. Standing out of the earth he discovered a GOLD PIECE! He discovered more... he discovered a jug and considered, "My day of reckoning!! Perhaps there's more gold in this container!!" However inside the container there was just coal, "That is baffling... well in any event I discovered one gold piece. At any rate I have a little GOOD Fortunes!"
At that point the true companion hailed from going by the Guru. He was in agony and was limping, "Owww, ohhhh, my foot, oohhh..." He demonstrated, "I was strolling once more from being with the Guru and I slipped and... owwww, my foot... I stepped right on a huge thistle. It gouged through my foot... what Awful Fortunes I have...."
