Rs 2,500 Crore seized from Four Trucks
The Department of Income Tax and the staff of the National Research Agency on Monday night seized cash of Rs 2,500 crore and gold four trucks in Mumbai. About 47 people have been arrested at the time of the trip.
Reports say that the money was to be transported to Ahmedabad in Gujarat Mail. The trucks were kidnapped when they reached the outskirts of the central railway station of Mumbai to drop the luggage. More than 100 agents have undertaken this joint operation around 21:00. After the arrest, the police have escorted the trucks to the police station. The amount seized later came to the IT office at Scindia House in Ballard Estate in South Mumbai.
This major operation was carried out after receiving information on the transfer of valuables largest market Angadias unofficial (carriers of cash and jewelry). The people who were arrested with about 150 bags of cash and gold were the grill now.
